What speedlight flash is best for the Nikon D40x?
I'm looking for a good flash for my Nikon D40x. I've heard good things about the SB-600, but a couple people have told me it won't work off the camera since the D40x doesn't have commander mode. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to flashes, so could someone enlighten me (pun not intended!) on what my best bet for the D40x is?
Where do these people come from?
Of course the SD600 works with the D40x.
Unless you are going to be buying six or eight flash units to be used externally from the camera, you will not even be using "commander mode"
