Nikon flash SB 600 for D40X?
Should I buy sb 600 or sb 900. I have D40X camera and Af-s 17-55mm f/2.8 lens.
According to Ken Rockwell, the sb 600 is enough for the D40(X) and you don't need to spend more bucks for a flash.
Ken Rockwell is the least reliable source on the internet.
A sb-600 is enough flash for most people. A 900 will be bigger and heavier than your camera body making interesting balance issues.
Depends on what you want to do.
If you want a good basic flash, the SB600 is a good choice.
If you want to use multiple flashes in the future, you may want to spring for the SB900 so you can use it as a commander. Of course, there are alternatives to this commander issue, so it might not justify the added expense of the SB900.
Depends on yout requirement you can use it.
