I have a Nikon D60. I barely EVER use it anymore.i'm really disappointed because i spent a lot of my own money on it and it hardly gets used. I used to take a lot of really nice pictures. Any ideas of what i should take pictures of?
and also, i can't go downtown, or to a park or anything…

You could take random pictures of things in your house and you could take them online and turn them into really cool pics.

Over the years I have seen several "famous" photographers that create self assignments. Elliot Erwin's dog candids for example. Other guys have taken a photo out their back window, or of a tree in the yard everyday for a year. Or get a closeup/macro of every tool in the kitchen. Take pictures everyday.

The best idea is you're own of course, but since you asked…
-You can do a dark/goth photo of yourself
-Macro pictures

Nature is really photogenic. Anywhere you go there's nature. A garden, a bug, green grass, rain and rain puddles. Snow while it is snowing and after, snowmen. Clouds, leaves, a ray of sunlight, anything at all in nature is photogenic. Anything beautiful is photogenic, but sometimes ugly takes a good pictures too like mud and dirty snow or even fire. Nature is loaded with ideas and they usually turn out well. But anything outside your front or back door like a car accident, kids playing in the street, the line of kids at the ice cream truck, a cat, a beautiful dog an ugly dog are all available options. And if you are not home bound the options are endless. But if you are I hope this helps you.

There's no rule that says you have to use your camera all the time. Just use it for special occasions (like birthdays and holidays) and the rest of the time you can store it carefully so that it will be in good condition for the next time you shoot.

That's how it was in the old days before the days of digital (most people would only bust out the camera a few times a year).

Your camera was made to last. As long as you use it once in a while (to keep the gears and what not running smoothly), it should last for a long time.
