Go to A(Aperture), and go to the lowest(f/2.8 if possible), and raise your ISO to 2000 or 2500 for fast shutter speed

When I first learned about photography, I went to the library and got a few books on basic photography. Then I also looked around the internet at a bunch of tutorials.
Attending a class is great, too.
Whichever way you start this, you really really should learn… You'll have a lot more fun with your lovely camera that way, and your results will be so much better.
