What Macro lens to buy?

I have a Nikon D70s and i need to know a good affordable Macro Lens under £200 any opinions would help thank you

Anything you can find really. PRobably used. For bugs you want a lens of at least 90mm, for other things it doesn't matter much.

I've yet to see any fixed focal length macro lens that isn't good.

Well, if you aren't able to afford something like the Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro lens, then maybe you should look at bellows… At about £60…

or a reversing ring at £14…

Personally I would go for something shorter than 90mm for general use. There are some around 60mm, and Sigma did (still does?) one at 70mm that had good reviews.

Since you were smart and bought a D70 it means you've opened up a great number of doors to older AF lenses.

I would say a safe choice would be the Sigma 105mm f2.8 DG, its been replace by a newer lens with HSM and OS so you can pick up the standard DG version for a bit less.

You also have the Tamron 90mm f2.8 which is also a good choice.
