What lens can you suggest me to use with a Nikon D5000?
I want a d90 but it is too expensive right now so I'm substituting it with a d5000. The lens I was hoping for for the d90 was the 50mm f/1.8 lens, but it will mean that I will have to focus things manually if I bought it for the d5000.
So do you guys have any suggestions as to the lens that are very similar to the 50mm 1.8 and that are AF-S so that I could use it with auto focus for the D5000?
Added (1). Are there any that are more affordable and not too expensive because I'm on a budget?
AF-S 50mm f/1.4
Affordable and will focus on your D5000.

Addendum:
Based on your question I'm guessing you are asking about primes. You might want to study the AF-S 35mm f/1.8 DX. Good street and general purpose lens.

The Nikkor 35mm 1.8 and its only $200 (US) or just under $300 in Canada where I'm. Its a great lens, a must have lens on a DX camera.

Or, just go for the 18-105.
You can consider Nikon 50mm f/1.4G SIC SW Prime Nikkor Lens
