What kind of lens should I use? - 1

I've recently started to get into cameras and I just bought a Nikon d3200 a couple months ago with a 18-55mm lens, but i'm looking to get into sports photography and where I can actually zoom in and get some good action shots, what mm lens should I use?

You need to give yourself more time to learn how to use your camera before you buy any more lenses.

The 18-55 mm can shoot landscapes, groups, full body shots as well as good head and shoulders images

In about a year or so, when you have full control over your camera and you are shooting brilliant images with your current lens, then you can consider other lenses.

That said, if you want to shoot field sports, you need to look at the Nikkor AF-S 70-300 mm VR lens.

With all the respect i think if you where about to use you camera for normal uses it was better to buy a good telezoom (All Range Support) compact camera with half of the price. The 18-55 STD lens is good for start, with enough expriences and adjustment and most of all great luck to go closer you can get some good sport photo with this lense, even with a reverse ring u also can shoot great Macros but remember 18-55 is not a specialist in any way! Its sharpness and colore tone is not compairable with. For example a 55mm fix lens in same range. Acctually you'll never fined a single or even a dozen lenses to be enough in the vast subjcets of Photography as matter of fact, but you do have choicess base on your personal needs. For sport scenes you need to buy a Telephoto lens between 200 and 1200 mm range the best choice for price- and- use best choice comes between 200-500 mm. For portrate you gonna need a fix lens 55mm, 85mm or 135mm, the 85 is the best, you also can use a zoom lenses like 18-105 or 18-135 for all those uses but the result would be- not perfect - jast like your own lens(18-55) copmair to pros! For start you need 3 or 4 lenses you can use fair sellers advices for your choice!
P.S also you need to have enough information about lenses f.stop numbers.
