What is the filesize of a photo shot with a Nikon D5100?
I think about buying a Nikon D5100. There's a 16GB card included, but I would like to know how big a photo is shot with maximum pixrate.
Shooting RAW + jpg reckon on 25MB per shot. So the card will hold around 600-700 shots
shooting just jpg at max resolution reckon on 5 to 8 MB per shot so the card holds around 2500 shots
The resolution can be set by you. And the highest resolution image will be 23.9 MB in size. And there's provision for adding SDXC card of 64 GB capacity or SDHC card of 32 GB capacity. See the specifications. All image sizes and the corresponding file sizes are given there. If you use a 32 GB SDHC memory card you can store 1300 photos of the highest resolution, on the 32 GB card.
