There are some 'Peleng' adapted fisheyes which are purely mechanical, but give good results and cost significantly less than Nikons.

Samyang also do a mechanical fisheye and they seem to be stocked in the uk more readily (also known under the falcon name)

There's also the Sigma options who do both circular and full frame fisheyes for APS-C type cameras like yours, and will AF and meter properly with a DSLR.
