What camera is best for your money?

I want to get either a Nikon D5100 or a Nikon D3200? Which one is best for your money?

I would go with the Nikon - D3200

At that price, I'd look at the Pentax K-r.

If you ask me, Pentax and Sony offer a lot more bang for your buck, especially in the bottom and mid class cameras (such as the two Nikon models that interest you). Pentax gives you a pentaprism viewfinder and a weatherproof body in the entry-level K-30. Sony beats everyone for affordable but excellent lens selection, and also gives 100% viewfinder coverage in their EVFs which may not be up to a pentaprism but are head and shoulders better than those 95% coverage tunnes in the D5100 and D3200. Not to mention Sony makes Nikon's sensors anyway.
