Want some camera that is like nikon d3000 but also has a live view?
Please suggest a camera that would have all features of d3000 and will have a live view as well. Should be of same price range or just a bit high(not too much).
also which lense will be best to shoot even in dard, i need to capture scenes, sky d most, though i have passion to capture everything and every being so suggest lense that would be generally good in darkness n light.
any cam by nikon or canon only
Added (1). Does nikon d3100 have live view?
Cameras like the D3000 with live view
Nikon D3100
Pentax KX
Canon XSi
Olympus E-420 and E-PL1
For night scenes you would want a fast lens ( It should be F2.0 or less). All the manufacturers will have them. I would recommend your basic 50 mm f1.4. A good, used manual version will run under $200.

The D3100 does and it also can shoot Full HD video (1080p) and it the only entry level dSLR that can auto-focus in the video mode
Well if you limit yourself to only Canon or Nikon you're missing out on the 2010 "Best DSLR Entry Level" - the Pentax K-x. Here is what it offers:
1) A CMOS sensor which gives superior performance at higher iSO settings and in low-light.
2) Live View.
3) HD Video.
4) Double/multiple exposure capability of from 2 to 9 images on a single frame with Auto EV Compensation.
5) A focusing motor in the camera body so a vintage 1988 Pentax AF lens can be used on the K-x and will auto focus as it should.
6) Image Stabilization (IS) in the camera body so any lens used, even that 22 year.old Pentax AF lens, becomes an IS lens.
7) A choice of body colors so you don't have to settle for a black camera if you don't want to.http://www.pentaximaging.com/slr
Here is a review of the K-x: http://www.shutterbug.net/equipmentreviews/amateur_digital_slrs/0510pentax/index.html
Note that the Nikon D3000 has exactly NONE of the features of the K-x. NONE. Both the Nikon D3000 and D3100 require Nikon AF-S lenses for auto focus and if you want Nikon's version of IS (they call it VR) you have to pay for it with every lens that has it and not all Nikon lenses have VR.
The Canon XS, which is over 2 yrs.old, has a CMOS sensor and Live View and NONE of the other features of the Pentax K-x
Prices at B&H - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...ovideo.com
Pentax K-x, $530.95
Nikon D3000, $499.95 after a $50.00 Instant Savings from B&H.
Nikon D3100, $644.95
Canon XS, $499.95 after a $50.00 Instant Savings from B&H.
In my opinion a mere $31.00 buys a lot more camera and $114.00 actually buys LESS camera.
The Canon EOS XS at same price has it and also Nikon D5000, but it's much more expensive.
Here's a post called 'Buying a DSLR, what's important, megapixels, features, brand, price, quality and which one to buy - http://www.the-dslr-photographer.com/2009/03/which-dslr-to-buy.html
Any lens will be good for that. It's the most common thing. It gets different when you shoot macro or sport, professionally.
Good luck! The site has more tutorials, tips, reviews and guides!
I would recommend either the D5000 or the D3100.
Yes the D3100 has live view
Nikon d31000 would be a best choice for you, it has 'live view' function

but I think it's not very important for a DSLR. Live view can help compose your picture but the only time you'll ever really need to use live view is when you want to shoot over the heads of a crowd, and even then, you have a lens with a wide enough field of view. I wouldn't let "live view" get your decision.
