The quality is horrible but thats the lighting i will be working in. I have a nikon d3000, 18-55mm lens if i'm saying that correct. I'm new to all of this, i just want to know what are tips to getting the perfect shot. I went to a show before and my pictures came out blurry unless i used the flash, i don't want flash. Its nice but i want some cool pictures with the lights that are there without getting anything TOO grainy.
A wide aperture and fast shutter speed would be perfect.
The wide aperture allows more light to get in, and so you can use a fast shutter speed, even in fairly dark places.
A wide aperture is the smaller numbers, such as f2 or f1.4
Great article at Boudist that goes over all the basics: http://www.boudist.com/archive/2007/02/07/concert-photography-masterclass.php
