Stilloute photography camera settings for nikon D80?
Need stilloute photography camera settings for nikon D80, aperture, stutter speed and ISO
You're supposed to experiment and find out yourself - that's what's so great about dslr cameras, you can do it over and over again until you get there… They're only digital files so even if you only get one of 100 you've succeeded.
Your also supposed to learn to operate your own camera not rely on others to operate it by
remote control… So learn already.
The D80 offers +/- 5 EV of exposure compensation. Somewhere in those negative numbers is probably the setting you want for a silhouette. You might also try turning up the contrast in the Shooting Menu.
What settings depends on what the ambient light is where you are shooting - that's what you in camera light meter is for!
Suggest you keep the ISO as low as possible. Shoot manual, meter for the sky & under expose by about 1-2 stops. Subject in foreground will then (probably) be a silhouette.
