Slr camera settings for lightbox shooting?
Hi, i'm currently using a nikon d3100 and 35mm f1.8 lens with it. What settings should i use for light box object shootings?
Added (1). Edit: i mean i bought this thing, i think it is called lightbox or something. To shoot mini statues.
i use 2 light sources from two sides. But not sure about dslr settings.
It depends
1) what do you mean by light box? Do you mean softbox?
If the soft boxes are in front of continuous lighting, just use the camera light meter (after you set the white balance to match the lighting)
If you are using flash, they you will have to either use a flash meter or do tests using the cameras LCD to check the exposure.
2) or do you mean light tent when you say lightbox? Again the settings are going to be identical as in the first case
OR
3) are you trying to copy transparencies that are laying on a real light box, one used to edit (sort) images?
The settings that give the correct exposure, focus and depth of field!
It is a digital camera take plenty of shots at different settings to home in on the best
