Sigma 70-300mm and tripod collar?

I recently bought a Sigma 70-300mm lens for my Nikon D3100. I have found the lens to be heavy and with the lack of OS, I need something to stabilize the lens. Will a tripod collar fit on the lens? Thanks.

Added (1). I already have a monopod.

That lens isn't very heavy. You could mount your camera body on a sturdy tripod and it would be fine.

Perki's suggestion is not for your lens, which shouldn't need a support collar. I don't know of any made for it.
