Selling my old camera?

I don't know if my camera is even worth spelling. It's about 8 years old and it's a DSLR. It's a Nikon D40. They're selling brand new for $500 currently. Reason I'm asking is because I misplaced a brand new modern camera that was a gift and now I want to sell this old one for money towards a new one that was the gift.

The cheapest dSLR right now is a mid-level camera with an entry-level price which is around $380 so temper your expectations.
