Recording interrupted Please wait - Nikon D3100?

I'm trying to record videos on my Nikon D3100 but after a few seconds it is showing me an error:

Recording interrupted. Please wait.

Could anyone please help me?

Added (1). EDIT: It works fine on 720p video recording but stops after just a few secs on 1080p recording.

Sounds to me like you need a faster card. Class 10 is the fastest out there at the moment and it will do the job. I know because I shoot a Canon t1i in HD and I use 8gb / Class 10 cards and they work just fine, no stopping. These are about $25 each

No, it is not your card. I have a Nikon D800. I have 3 32Gb cards, all class 10 and all with "turbo boosting" (400x). They All record video beautifully even for 20 minute clips. Then suddenly I upgraded my D800 firmware to version 1.10 and this error message has randomly been popping up when I'm using the video feature. I'm an experienced photographer who runs a camera school in Vancouver, so know what I'm doing. It is a random fault, the message appears, it takes about 20 secs to go away, then you try again and you NORMALLY get to be able to shoot - but sometimes not! Nikon has to find the answer as it is NOT an isolated occurrence. So all of you who are experiencing it, DON'T think it must be your cards. It's a firmware-related issue.

I suffered from this problem for a long time with my camera nikon D3200 the I discovered I have to format the memory card with the camera and not with the computer and now it works, it records up to 20 mn

I also encounter the same problem, my nikon d3100, also stops recording video for about less than 30 sec. Though i already formatted my sd card, what are the possible problem? And how can i fix this?
