Recommend some Infra-red filters?

I'm looking into buying an IR filter for my Nikon D5000. I'm only a beginner. I know my way around a camera and I have some and filters by Hoya which I love but I also have some cheap ones and to be honest I wouldn't be able to tell the difference but I don't want to spend money on something and regret it. I'm probably going to buy a 67mm IR lens. Can anyone recommend some good ones to buy when getting started? I don't mind cheap or semi expensive. I'm not really willing to spend too much right now, i'm a bit skint.

I use the Hoya R72. I got one 77mm high-quality one, and then use step-down rings to mount it on several lenses. This is the one I have:

Yes, it's expensive. Smaller diameter ones are cheaper, if you don't need a huge one (I have a couple of lenses with 72 and 74mm filter threads, so I got a big one).

Whoa, IR filters are only for use with film cameras.digital cameras have IR blocking built-in so adding an IR pass filter will result in getting little or no picture.
