Panasonic Lumix G10 12MP OR Nikon D3000?

Just curious which one is better, i know the nikon costs more but i heard it doesn't have video? I'd apreciate answers as soon as possible please!

My choice for photography would be the nikon, it is a solid starter dslr, that is backed by a much larger brand in terms of cameras.

In terms of a general use camera, get the G10, since you can shoot 720p @24fps video with it, while still being able to produce some good photos.
