Off camera flash photograhy?
I have had my Nikon D60 for a while and just got my TT560 Neewer speedlight. I was just wondering if i have to have a trigger or something like that to be able to take off camera flash pictures, or there's some other way, cuz I don't have a trigger?
Added (1). It has 2 slave modes. But how do I set it up?
Install the flash on the small stand and put it on slave 1 by pressing "mode" and set the power to half.
Grab your camera, open the pop up flash, set the power to the lowest (it's not important for the test). Then fire the camera toward the optical slave on the side of the flash (white dot) and see if the flash fire. Do the same with s2.
If nothing work then I guess you'll need some trigger or buy flash that can be use as master to control your TT560.
Not familiar with that flash. Does it have an optical slave mode? If so you could use the pop-up flash (at low power) on your D60 to trigger it. If not radio triggers are not expensive. I use RF602 triggers - about £20 a set.
