Noise issue on Nikon D90?

I recently reset the settings on my D90, but now everything is turning out very noisy, even on auto. I tried lowering the ISO, playing with f-stop and shutter speed, but nothing is helping. I must have undone some kind of setting I had it on when I reset the camera. Any ideas on what I can do to get it back?

You probably turned off a niose reduction setting somewhere. You are going to have to read your manual to find out where in the menu's it is. If you no longer have the manual simply google Nikon D90 Manual and you will find it. Or Ken Rockwell's site.

Noise is the ISO, dirty lens, and/or dirty sensor.
