Nikon DSLR not working?

My Nikon D3200 camera stopped working. I bought this camera 3 yrs ago. Today I was taking time lapse pictures after connecting it to an Aputure intervalometer. After some time as my 16GB card got full, it stopped taking pictures. However after that the camera would not turn on even after inserting a fully charged battery. The only light glowing is the short green light which glows after inserting a memory card. Please guide me as to what might have gone wrong and what I can do apart from sending it to a workshop as it would take me months to ship it out.

Pop into the local camera store and let them have a look, might be something simple, if they don't have a quick fix it will need to be sent to a repair technician for the fault to be diagnosed and an estimate for any calibration, repair or replacement parts that might be needed.

I think you answered your own question.
Have you tried putting in an empty memory card and reformatting it in the camera?
Chances are, your memory card is full and/or corrupted.
Nikon cameras, in my experience, are sensitive to memory card issues.

16GB of pictures is a ton! I'm guessing overheat?

Something may be wrong with your camera's buffer! 16gb of photos is A LOT. I suggest you take it to a camera store and ask for more assistance.
