Nikon d90 white balance?
Now i have had the D70, the d80 and now the d90 and i'm really having a hard time white balancing this thing. I used to be able to just take a picture of what i wanted white and the images i captured after that would be white balanced. Did they change this on the 90 because i can't seem to be able to do it… So weird
The white balance options on the D90 are much more sophisticated
Match the white balance in the camera to the lighting illuminating your subject.
To set custom white balance, this like will tell you how to do that.

Modern nikons tend to do an OK job outdoors on auto although they can be on the cool side. Indoors it's either the incandescent setting or shooting a custom WB.
I find that the latest adobe camera raw gets it very, very right when you click on auto in most cases.
