Nikon D80 focus problem?

Yes, my camera is 6 years old, I get it, but this is the FIRST issue it has EVER had, I'm incredibly impressed and satisfied with it's performance.
The issue, it only focuses on one of the possible focus areas. When you look through the lens you see a little box darken over the area that the camera is focusing on, mine will only focus on the area to the far left.
Any ideas what I can do to fix it?

Are you saying that when you move the focus point, it still only focuses on the far left focus point?

Look on page 87. There are three possible auto focus point options.

Single area, Dynamic area and Auto-area

My guess is that you changed from one of those options to a different one

There's also a "Normal zone" and "Wide zone" option.

You have your camera set to single point focus. You can change this by changing the focus point selection in the menu or use the 4-way selector to move the focus point to the middle of the screen by pressing the right arrow.
