Nikon D7000 Frames per second promblem?

Marie

I have my Nikon D7000 set on continuous high and I think I have it set to take 6 frames per second, but when I press the shutter release button the camera only takes a single frame still. Any ideas of what might be over riding my settings or what I might be missing?

Read your owner's manual for the proper settings. On my Canon dslr cameras the settings are on the back of the camera. For yours it could be a menu setting. In any case refer to your owner's manual.

If you don't have a manual go to the Nikon site, they have them available for free download in pdf format.

You have to set the shutter to continuous shooting mode so that the camera continuously takes pictures as long as you keep pressing and it will take that much pictures per second until the memory card or memory buffer is full.

On continuous high mode, you can't adjust the frame rate.
You can only adjust the frame rate on continuous low.
In your manual, see pages 77 and 78 regarding continuous mode.
