Nikon d7000 focus point?

Help! How do I move the focus point and then autofocus on just that point? I keep switching between af-a af-s and af-c and I can't move the point.

If you don't have a manual, download one from Nikon.

I have a D90, which should be similar. One possible issue could be whether your autofocus is set to auto area or single point. For that, on the D90 you go to the menu. Custom Setting Menu (pencil icon), auto focus, A-area mode. With Single point selected, you should be able to then select your focus point by hitting the OK button to choose the center point, and the multiselector to choose a different point.
