Nikon D5100: How do I get the fisheye effect?
I'd like to TAKE the picture with the fisheye effect. But I don't know how to do that.
I also can't get the fisheye effect to go on the pictures that I have. For some reason, it won't let me do it. It makes no sense!
I'm a 15 year old natural blonde, this is hard. Haha.
(As a natural blonde, all you have to do is go ask a real guy who knows his photography and he will be happy to give you the answer!)
There are lenses that give the fisheye look. Some cameras and some photo software have the ability to create that look. Check for that feature in your manuals and do internet searches if looking for a fisheye lens. Fisheye lenses vary widely in price, and generally the higher the price, the better the lens.
I guess the first question is why do you think a fully adjustable camera that uses a broad range of interchangeable lenses from fisheye to extreme telephoto, would even have a fisheye "effect"?
Buy an nice Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye lens and be done with it
ANY effect would never be able to provide you with a 180 degree view
A By using a fish-eye lens - expensive.
B By exploring your imaging package (Photoshop or similar). Try Distort Spherise.
Your camera is not intended to do anything apart from photographing whatever the lens that you have got on the camera sees.
You can use the D5100 no problem it's a great camera. Just get a "ultra wide angle adapter"… Fisheye. You can just attach it to the front of your widest lens. It works great! And you can get them pretty inexpensive on ebay… Under $25.00 easily…
