Nikon d5100 for camera effects?

Would it be good for camera effects such as high speed photography splash photography and levitation photography?

* With shutter speeds if up to 1/4000th second, you can shoot action with no problem
* "splash" photography requires four things: 1) Low ambient light, 2) remember that the flash is stopping the action, 3) use a trigger to set off the flash and 4) a short flash duration will give you a better shot. How that works
* "levitation" will require the same set up as shooting "splash", but with the addition of a small trampoline.

The D5100 can shoot all these type shots, which are techniques, NOT effects.

As long as you know how to do those effects, the D5100 can be used for it.
