Nikon d5000 memory card access lamp will not stop blinking?

My d5000 card access lamp will not stop blinking only when its turn off. It can only be solve when i remove the memory card while its turn off. Can anyone help me?

Sounds like you have a faulty memory card, can you try a different card? If you can and it stops blinking then it's your card, if it carries on blinking with a new card then it's your camers
