Nikon d40 graph on all my pictures?
Every time i use my camera now after i take a picture there's a a graph in front of the picture when i review it how do i get this off its really annoying and i don't have a manual i think its a light graph any help would be appreciated
Press the 4-way dial on the back of the D40 side-to-side, until that graph disappears. Nikon DSLR's have a 4 different displays after taking a photo. It's easy to accidentally press the 4-way dial and change the display. Don't feel bad, as we've all done it.
To be specific, press the up/down buttons on the D-pad
Download a manual from www.nikonusa.com
It's probably the histogram you are looking at.
On most Nikons, the 4 way selector switch has two functions when reviewing photos. When either left or right side is depressed, it goes to the next photo. If the top or bottom side is depressed, it goes through a set of overlays showing information about the photo - including the graph you have.
So simply depress either up or down button and scroll through the various overlays until you come to the one that shows just the photo.
And download a manual…
