Nikon D3100 Lens Help? - 1

I have the default lens with my camera, the 18-55mm and i have the 55-200mm lens, what is a good lens i should get, i take a ton of pictures of my group of friends, and pictures of swimming. So i need a decent zoom and something that i can use all the time!

Well what many people do is buy a 18-200 mm lens and sell the two you have.
I shoot swimming events using that lens a lot.
I don't know what you mean, "decent zoom".
Take a look at this link and you will be able to see what zoom lenses are available.

For swimming in an outdoor pool, look at the Nikon 70-300mm AF-S VR or the 55-300m AF-S VR. Either will give you that extra "reach" you might need for distance, with the 70-300mm autofocusing faster. The 55-300mm is a relative bargain for it's price.
I have and love my 18-200mm AF-S VR and love it as my walk around lens. But I shoot indoor and evening sports and needed a f/2.8 optic to allow me to capture the low light action. On my budget, I got the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 and the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 HSM. Both are not quite up to the quality of the Nikon f/2.8 equivalents, but I'm still impressed with what they allow me to do.
Here's a couple of reviews of the 18-200mm.

And some user reviews.

And some 18, 000 Nikon 18-200mm shots taken with a D3100.
Hope this helps.
