Nikon D3100 Camera Lense?

I want to upgrade my lense to something better. I currently have 18-55 VR (standard model), can someone recommend me a good lense to zoom in further, but yet good pixel resolution. I do have a budget for myself (300 or cheaper).

Take a look at the Nikon 55-300mm. It is a good zoom lens. Its fast and gives sharp colors. Read this review to get the opinions of an actual user:

You can look for its price here:

There's no "upgrade" for the 18-55 mm lens that costs less than $300. There's a 17-55 mm f/2.8, but it coast $1, 540.So, as you can see, you may just want to enjoy the lens you have and maybe buy another lens to extend the reach of what you have now. The 55-200 mm lens costs about $200 and you may enjoy it.

The Nikon 55-200mm or 55-300mm lenses are a good complement to the 18-55mm lens you currently have, and are within your budget.
Note that there are two versions of the 55-200mm lens; one is a VR and the other is not.

Still stuck in Zoom X's? To make far objects seem nearer you either get a longer focal length lens (more than 55mm) or walk there yourself. There's no better lens. They all serve a different purpose.

So you want something with more zoom?
There are the 55-200mm and 55-300mm, and 18-105mm as an all around lens.

I recommend the Nikkor Zoom Lens - Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S DX.
