Nikon D3000 number of photos?
How do I find how many photos have been made with a nikon D3000. I'm thinking of buying a used one, and i want to check.
Thanks!
Added (1). I can't find the "Total number of shutter releases" in opanda…
Ask the seller to provide a straight out of camera shot (no processing) and view the EXIF data in something like Opanda Exif viewer.
Shutter actuations should be shown.
You can use an EXIF reader like OPanda (free).
Each image file and the number of shutter cycles embedded in it.
If you use your own memory card to take a test shot with the camera, that data will be on that shot.
When you view the EXIF data, you will see something like this:
Total Number of Shutter Releases for Camera = 3456
The number is a negotiating tool only. The number of times Nikon or Canon tests a shutter is not to relevant as to how long a shutter will last under normal usage.
I have an old Nikon D100 with over 200, 000 shutter cycles on it and it is still performing well.
A colleague has a D3 with over 1, 000, 000 shutter cycles and it too is performing well
IT's in opanda, all the way at the bottom. Alternatively, sign up for a free flickr account and upload a jpg straight out of the camera.
- Why the 'number of photos left' is lower than actually how much can fit on card?
