Nikon d3000 memory card problem

The memory card won't stay in the slot that it goes in. It just pops back out after its put into the slot. What's the problem and how do I fix it?

Hi, There's a spring loaded system in the SD card slot in your Nikon. If that is broken the only fix is to send it into Nikon

If not and this is a new camera, look on page 20 of your user manual and see if you are inserting the card correctly. If you are trying to force it in, then you have the card positioned incorrectly and could damage the camera if you press too hard.
