NIKON D3000, D3100, or D5000?

I'm looking for my first SLR camera, but I want to invest in a good one.
I'm not sure weather to go with the D3000, 3100, or 5000?
Does anybody know anything about these camers? Or the benefits and drawbacks?

The D3000 and D3100 have two major limitations.
1. The flash sync maxes out at 1/200. Meaning you can't shoot at shutter speeds faster than 1/200th of a second even if you use a speed flash. The D5000 does not have this limitation.
2. The D3000 and D3100 do not have a bracketing mode. Bracketing such as exposure bracketing, which allows 3-5 shots to be taken at different exposure levels, is helpful in some applications. One application would be like High Dynamic Range where several shots at different exposures are combined to produce a single image with a larger range of light in he final product.
3. The D3000 does not have a movie mode where as the D3100 and D5000 do.
I have the D3000 only because that was what I could afford. If I had my choice I would go for the D5000 simply because I want a faster flash sync and exposure bracketing.
Now also consider that if you're just going to use the camera like a point and shoot camera and not purchase additional lenses or an external flash or if you will never use manual, aperature priority, or shutter priority modes then just get the D3000. If you want the movie function, go with the D3100.
The D5000 is the better camera out of the three but as I wrote above, if you do not think you'll go past using automatic mode, save yourself some money and buy a lesser camera.
