So i just got the nikon d3000 yesterday and put the battery on the charger right when i got home.
that was about 20 hours ago and the battery still isn't charged.
i tried putting it in the camera to see if it was a little charged but the camera wouldn't even turn on.
i tried plugging it into a different socket…
is it supposed to take this long to charge? Or do you think something is wrong with it?

Added (1). The red led is blinking. It hasn't stopped blinking sense i put the battery in.

I think something is either wrong with the battery or the charger. It should take just a few hours.

If you've plugged in the MH-23 charger and the battery is inserted correctly, the red led on the charger should blink. When it's steady, the battery if fully charged.

Be sure the battery "clicks" into the charger, with the metal contacts connecting. If not, then the battery won't charge.

Hope this helps.
