Camera for nature, landscapes, people, animals in nature, some sports photos

this is my first real photography camera, so i'm not really sure what i'm looking for.i'm not dumb and it won't take me long to figure out how the settings and things like that work, so if if it's complicated but a good camera, don't not suggest it n_n

i'm very artistic and i want to capture that better than i can with the camera i have now (Lumix LZ7 panasonic)

(as of now, i really like the nikon d80)

The D80 is fully capable of shooting all those subjects. All you need to do is buy the right lenses for each

A lens like the 10-24 mm which is perfect for shooting landscapes is NOT what you want to use on people. For people you will want to use something like a 50 mm f/1.8 or f/1.4.

For shooting sports and wildlife you may want the new 55-300 mm to reach out especially when shooting wildlife or field sports.

As you can see, while the camera is an excellent platform for shooting those subjects, the lenses you buy have to be suitable for each of those subjects

Fhotoace has some good points.

Personally I think 24mm is the nicest focal length for landscapes.
Animals, wildlife and some sports work you need range, loads of it. Unfortunately that's expensive. The 55-300 looks like an interesting option but it is not yet out long enough to deternine if it is as good as the 70-300 VR

I always advice people to start with the body and a kit lens to learn and see what they really want from a lens.
