Well what lenses do you already have, and what it is that you are lacking?

For example, if you don't have a telephoto that extends you 300mm, you could get one of those. No point in buying something that covers a role already covered by something else.

What isn't your current kit doing for you? If you can't pin down a prime lens that'll do something your other lenses won't, you probably don't need a new lens at this point.

Personally, if that was the gear I had I'd want to replace the 28-300mm with a zoom lens that had a fixed max aperture like the 24-70mm f/2.8 or the 70-200mm f/2.8. I'd probably want to get a speedlight too.

It depends on what you want to shoot.

Just get ones in a focal length you don't already have if you "do all sort of photography"[sic].

You do all sorts of photography so pick one sort and get a lens for that. Take another lens for another type of shot you have in mind. That's how you buy lenses. Each has a purpose, there's no best.

Now, if you still insist on having just one do-it-all point-and-shoot mentality then the Nikon 28-300mm or better yet, the Tamron 18-270mm should do it. Throw away your 18-55mm. You don't seem to know what it does anyway.

If you really know what you are doing, get the 35mm f/1.8. With just that single lens, you can shoot them all.

For the very best your money can buy get this.

Again, only if you know exactly what you are doing.
