Metering Nikon d70s how to?
I've a d70s and i takes me forever to find what f stop and shutter speed to use before getting the perfect or almost perfect photo.
I was wondering I don't have a dummy manual, but how do you meter to figure out the right combination of Fstop and shutter speed, thanks!
Set it to Aperture Priority instead of manual and let the camera do the thinking for you.
In time, you'll get a feel for it.
Just look through the viewfinder. The little bar in the bottom middle is the light meter. If it points to the left, the image is too bright (assuming that you use matrix metering). If it points to the right, it's too dark.
Note that there are things that can throw the meter off, and of course the metering mode matters.
