Lens to fit both Nikon N2000 SLR and Nikon D5100 DSLR?
I want to purchase a lens that will fit both of these cameras. Is that possible since they are different (film/digital)?
Amazon links are greatly appreciated!
Yes and no
If you buy the Nikon D7000, then yes all the older manual lenses you used to use with the N2000 will work manually on it. The D5100 is an entry level camera but is not able to meter through them.
Had you purchased a Nikon N2020 auto-focus camera, then no worries with the DD5100.
It is complicated when trying to use manual lenses with entry level digital cameras.
Here is a whole list of Nikon cameras and lenses made since 1959
