Is walmart a good place to get a camera?

A nikon d3100

If you know what kind of camera you want, you might get a good deal at Walmart.
The problem with buying electronics at Wal-Mart is they have a limited selection and their sales people aren't the most knowledgeable.

Indeed the price might be good, but there would be nobody on site to give advice, so you had better know that the D3100 is the camera you desire.

Yea, it's as good of a place as any, as long as you know what you want. Their website has way more choices than their stores though. They even sell an extended warranty for pretty cheap that lasts over the manufacturers warranty. If you need a little help choosing, I wouldn't ask for their help though.
