Is there a great lens that works on both Nikon D80 and D7000?
From any price I guess.
About 65 million of them.
Virtually every lens that will work on a D80 will work on a D7000 and vice versa.
The only real difference is that the D7000 has an "AI feeler" which allows it to couple with an AI lens's aperture index so you don't have to put the camera into manual mode. But that only applies to older "AI" type lenses.
If it works on a D80 it works on a D7000.

My only comment to this question is "The cheaper the glass usually equates to degraded images" so choose wisely and not by price.
