Is the Nikon D5000 Digital SLR a good camera?

I just realized how much i LOVE photography and want a good camera to take nice pictures and record videos for youtube please give me your honest opinion.

Is not a good camera… Is one of my favorites DSLR, the video is really good and you will enjoy it.
if you want something a little cheaper, there's the nikon d3100, nice videos, nice photos

another good camera that will give excellent photos and vids is the canon 60D
