Is The Nikon D3000 Good?

Name the bad and good things about this camera please.
I'm new to photography and i'm planning to buy this over the summer.
Main important thing i'm looking for is Sports. Does this work well for skateboarding, baseball, soccer(etc.)

It's an old entry level camera, now replaced by the D3100 which is a lot better and adds video.
It should work well enough for sports outdoors.

It's old but a good camera. The most important thing is that you should know how to set it up properly away from Auto Mode to be able to take any scenario with it. All dSLRs are basically the same. If you know the basic principles of photography, you can take any shot successfully with any camera.

All the new cameras are good, but if the Nikon is good for your hand, buy it. Nikon D3100 is the test winner, and therefore a good choice. See test and prices…
