No, it is a 1.5x crop factor DSLR.
But at least it is better than Canon 1.6x DSLRs.

No it is not. There are rumors about the new D400/D600 being a full frame that will probably be $2, 000. The D7000 is an excellent camera for the price. I do not own one myself (D300s) but I have tried it out and it is really good.

Nikon D7000 is a DX formate camera, its 1.5x crop factor camera…
DX formate stands for crop frame sensor and FX formate stands for full frame sensor.
