Is Nikon D3000 capable for 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G AF-S VR NIKKOR?

With capable I mean if it not just can hold it but if auto-focus works and all the ability's what this lens have (VR II). Finally saved some money for new lens and this might be the one. I'm pretty much new at photography.

All of Nikon's lenses work with bodies that they produce nowadays. (even the ones back in 1970) The 70-300 VR is a pretty versatile lens. Autofocus and VR works on the body and should be perfect on your camera.

As long as the lenses you buy are Nikkor AF-S lenses, they will all work
