Is it worth getting a Nikkor 35 mm lens?

I currently have the Nikon d3000 with 3 lenses (kit lens 18-55 mm, 18-270 mm & a 90 mm).Is it worth me getting the Nikkor 35 mm?

Depends WHICH 35mm lens…

and depends what you are shooting…

sometimes people buy lenses without thinking about whether they ACTUALLY NEED them…

A Nikon 35mm f/1.8G? Well, most love it for the fast aperture of f/1.8.plus the 1.5 crop factor it has a field of view similar to a 50mm on a FX. Sure why not?

How many of your photos are taken at a focal length of approximately 35mm right now? If it's a lot and if you are willing to switch lenses specifically for such photos, then get one. It's also good for low light no-flash photography.

Overall, however, i find that i use my 50mm prime about ten times as much as my 35mm one. But that's just me, your preferences might be different.
