Is it possible to get a lens convertor for nikon lens onto a sony NEX VG20E?

I'm a photographer and I want to pursue videography as well. So my current photography gear is a D90 and I hate the video on it, but I don't want to change to full frame just yet because of the price. I've looked around and the sony NEX VG20E looks best to me. But I was wondering is there some kind of lens adapter that would allow me to put my current Nikon lens onto the sony NEX VG20E so that I wouldn't have to buy more lens?

and so you mean that with this adapter, it is impossible for auto focus even if I already have auto focus on my nikon lens?

The short answer is "yes".

You can get a Nikon-to-Sony E-mount adapter that fits the VG20. There are tons of them on eBay for under $20, but I'd opt for a well-constructed model (they're still under $100). German manufacturer Novoflex makes the best one, in my opinion, and it's around $300 (the "NEX/NIK" model) and ensures proper auto-iris & metering. No adapter will allow auto-focus, though.

If you have any Nikon G-series lenses, make sure your adapter has an aperture ring.

Since the VG20 is relatively new, many adapters may be only listed as NEX-3, NEX-5, or VG10 compatible, but they all fit on the VG20 as well.

The other good news is that your D90's "DX" sensor is the same size as the Sony VG20's "APS-C" sensor, so the focal plane will cover the same area properly and have the same "equivalent" focal length (zoom factor).

hope this helps,
