Is a Nikon d3200 worth buying for a beginner?
I'm barely going to start photography, I'm 18 and want just a good camera. Is the Nikon 3200 worth buying? I'm thinking of purchasing just for taking random photos everywhere I go, just to look back at later in life, and I just always like taking pictures when I was younger. I was also thinking of purchasing at this moment because bestbuy has a good deal at $530 for a whole kit. Is this camera worth the buy for a beginner whose going to take random pics and vids?
"I'm barely going to start photography"… No it isn't.
Yes it is if you are willing to spend the time to learn the fundamentals of photography, it is the perfect camera for a beginner.
Learning photography is all about learning how to 1) use the camera and 2) compose brilliant images. It is NOT about shooting 'random' photos, you can do that with you mobile or a simple P&S camera.
If you really want to shoot videos, then you need to consider a separate video camera.
I would only buy it if you're serious about photography. If not, there's point and shoot cameras for around $100 that are great just for snapshots.
