Is 32000 actuations on a Nikon D90 too much?
I'm looking into buying a used Nikon D90. I was just wondering if 32000 shots are too much or ok.
and if anyone would suggest a price at that.
Depend on what you are needing for, with Nikon, you can't go wrong. Its made in Japan.
32-thousand represents about 1/3rd of the shutter's expected life span. Most of these cameras, at least the best brands Canon and Nikon are expected to run around 100-thousand. For an average
consumer that should represent several years.
32, 000 is not high but the previous users must have taken more shots than the average amateur photographer. The D90 specs the shutter life to be 100, 000 so there's still a fair bit to go before you need to change the shutter. Look at the other parts of the camera to see if the camera has seen heavy duty usage e.g. Scratches on the lens mount, switches and buttons are not sticking.
Yes, that is too much but dSLRs are usually rated to 100, 000 shots. That of course is not a guarantee.
Price? Should be less than $600? Sorry. My conversion from Pesos might be off.
I personally prefer buy new one which is better option.
